Bill Russell Edmonds is a lieutenant colonel in the US Army and the author of God Is Not Here: Torture, Trauma, and the Moral Injuries of War. With over twenty years in the military, he has served in various positions throughout the Department of Defense and with other US government agencies. Bill received a BA in International Relations from California Polytechnical University and an MS in Defense Analysis, with an emphasis on terrorist networks and terrorist financing, from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He is currently stationed in Europe with his wife, Cheryl, and two daughters, Natalie and Ava.
