David William Alexander is a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Trauma, Asylum and Refugees at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom, where he specializes in working with those who have been exposed to (or have participated in) acute political violence throughout the world. Educated at Fordham University, the Johns Hopkins Hospital, the University of Essex (PhD), and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (DMin), David is a former paratrooper with combat experience in Afghanistan, and has been working with moral themes in analytically informed therapeutic interventions for veteran clients and their families for the past ten years.
